Beginner RC Helicopters

Always buy a remote controlled helicopter with a minimum of 4 channels - anything less is to control difficult to maintain and fly in all directions. 4 channels are challenging, but once you get the hang of it, the flying experience is a thousand times better and will serve you well should you ever wanted to switch to advanced helicopter. Models advanced 6-channel or more, up to the next step or a first purchase if you have adequate support.

Buy oneHelicopter with a good backup and support - you can spare parts, upgrades, telephone or e-mail support and someone to fix it, if things go wrong. Consider a company that backup and support for a serious RC helicopter has technicians.

Buy educational materials to accompany your helicopter will spend some time practicing really paid dividends when it is in the air. The aid could include training ping pong balls (stabilizers) which are purchased from all good RCshop.

Consider a flight simulator - Phoenix offers the most realistic graphics and experience, or you can download the free FMS flight simulator. You can then play on your computer and self-confidence before starting for real.

Have realistic expectations - RC helicopters are incredibly fun, but you must resist the temptation to loop-the-loop to go on the first try. Try the RC on the ground, they fly only a foot or so above the ground until you are in control.Some helicopters are easier than others to move, so get some advice first.
